Managing mental health and physical impacts of cancer
This short session highlights the different mental health needs of cancer patients, with an emphasis on the intersection of physical and psychological symptoms. Through brief case studies, Dr Shields explores some common presentations associated with cancer and cancer treatment, as well as the challenges that arise in psychotropic prescribing. The session is focused on GPs and others working in primary care and provides practical tips on managing the mental health of people with cancer.
