Facilitating clinical Supervision as a key part of a GPN Fellowship Scheme.

12 Oct 2022
Best Practice in Nursing

The GPN Fellowship Scheme supports those newly qualified nurses entering General Practice as a first destination role on graduation.
The programme is funded nationally with an emphasis on local provision. In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough regular group clinical supervision sessions are embedded in the programme alongside professional development and support for education and further training. It is seen as a key part of the scheme and evaluates consistently well by Fellows. Clinical supervisor and supervisee (s) discuss the programme.

  • Clinical supervision is an essential part of our nursing toolkit
  • The value of clinical supervision can be demonstrated
  • Patient care is improved through clinical supervision
