On the back of proposals to significantly expand available information to patients from their medical records, it is important that all data recorded can be readily shared with minimal need for amendments. Historically, data input to GP records has been largely only accessible to healthcare professionals, however with upcoming changes due to rollout, thought should be given to how patient may respond to reading something written about them.
