ICS – is it the end of GP independence?

A summary of the Integrated Care System, as proposed under the new Health and Care Bill, with particular focus on the opportunities and threats this will present to the continued independence of GP Practices and an analysis of the key issues that need to be addressed when integrating with other community, mental health and social care providers, regardless of the structure adopted.

  • This will provide GPs and others working in primary care, or those seeking to integrate with them, an overview of the proposed structure, opportunities and threats arising from the Health and Care Bill and will identify the key issues that need to be considered for any form of integrated working, collaboration or joint venture.
