Recognising the Early Signs & Symptoms of Brain Tumours

National statistics show patients on average attend their GP surgery 4-6 times before being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Faster diagnosis leads to faster treatments and better outcomes for patients with delayed time to progression for those with malignant tumours. This session will highlight some less common symptoms that may imply brain tumours, and look at how to refer on to neurosurgical centres directly if imaging confirms a space occupying lesion, as well as some post operative considerations and wound management.

Speakers
Ingela Oberg, Macmillan Consultant Nurse - Adult Neuro Oncology - Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge
