Neighbourhood Delivery Theatre
Leadership & service delivery
Four senior nurse leaders come together for a focused discussion on the pivotal role of nursing in shaping and sustaining neighbourhood care. Drawing on experience across workforce strategy, education, clinical practice and system leadership, the panel brings varying perspectives to articulate the unique value nursing brings to integrated neighbourhood delivery.

Aligned to key system priorities including Population Health Management, Modern General Practice and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, the session makes a clear case for nursing leadership in neighbourhood transformation. It examines current challenges across primary care nursing workforce capacity, capability and sustainability, and the implications for safe, effective service delivery.

Grounded in national policy and frontline insight, the discussion explores how workforce planning, education and role development can better support integrated neighbourhood teams. It highlights opportunities to strengthen recruitment and retention, develop clear career pathways and maximise nursing contribution to continuity of care and improved population health outcomes.

The session will underline how a skilled, supported nursing workforce is fundamental to resilient neighbourhood teams and the delivery of high‑quality, sustainable community care.
