This session introduces the role of vocational rehabilitation occupational therapy within primary care and the importance of work being seen as a health business. We will host an interactive session to discuss and share resources to support your patients back into work:
Using the experience and data from the VROT role in Hackney Marshes we will discuss:
1. Why is a work a health business? Introduce the importance and impact of work and health, what the evidence says about early intervention and current national context.
2. Discuss the role of fit note conversations in identifying barriers and assessing readiness to work.
3. Using Fit notes to support a successful and sustainable return to work
4. When and where your patients can get more help – vocational rehabilitation and beyond.
