General Practice Nurse leadership at all levels - driving forward primary care networks

10 Oct 2019
Nursing Theatre 2
Future of Nursing , Primary Care Networks , Workforce Development

This panel session will explore and highlight the vital importance of nurse leadership at all levels within Primary Care Networks, with advice on how you can prepare to take the helm.
You will hear from GPN leaders and future leaders at all levels, from the two trailblazing GPNs who have stepped up to join the first tranche of Clinical Directors of PCNs, to the participants in the National NHS Leadership Academy GPN Rosalind Franklin leadership programme. Last but not least, you will also hear from two student nurse ambassadors – representing our leaders of the future and from a GPN on the Return to Practice programme. Join them and Karen Storey, National Primary Care Nursing Lead and NHS England and NHS Improvement, for lively discussion and Q&A on what it takes to be successful nurse leader in primary care and how to make the most of new opportunities.
