Maximising outcomes and benefits: An introduction to health economics to inform decision-making
This session will cover some of the introductory principles of health economics. We will look at measuring benefits and costs, and how these are combined to model and compare treatments and interventions. We will also discuss some of the many challenges and trade-offs for decision makers such as evidence gaps, inequalities, fair-allocation and sustainability.
