Resilience, burnout and managing expectations in Primary Care
In this deeply personal session, Daniel Vincent shares his own story of burnout as a leader in primary care—the warning signs he missed, the lessons he learned, and what he wishes he’d done differently.
Through honest reflection and practical insight, this session explores the emotional toll of working in general practice today. We’ll consider how expectations—internal and external—can silently build pressure, and how recognising our own needs is not a sign of weakness but of strength. You’ll hear about the power of vulnerability, the importance of supportive relationships, and what true resilience really looks like when it’s rooted in honesty, boundaries, and connection.
This session is a space to pause, reflect, and remember that looking after ourselves is part of looking after others.
