The NHS 10 year plan has a focus on prevention which links into tackling health inequalities for populations in areas of socio-economic deprivation. According to Sport England, Muslim communities are the least active faith community in the UK. Let's explore the reasons and find solutions to the barriers.

  • Understanding of how to engage Muslim communities in sport and physical activity as part of healthy lifestyle choices, hoping to contribute to tackling health inequalities and overcoming the burden of chronic disease in this population.
