Key responsibilities.

Clinical assessment and
management.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients
presenting with acute and chronic conditions, utilising advanced clinical
reasoning skills.
- Initiate and implement appropriate treatment
plans, including medication administration, wound care, and minor injury
management.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on urgent and
emergency care to patients and colleagues.

education.
- Deliver compassionate and high-quality care,
ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment.
- Educate patients and their families about health
conditions, self-care strategies, and preventive measures.

Emergency response.
- Respond rapidly and effectively to medical
emergencies within the primary care , providing immediate life-saving
interventions.
- Coordinate with emergency services and facilitate
smooth transitions for patients requiring further care.

Chronic disease
management.
- Support patients with chronic conditions, such as
asthma, diabetes, and heart disease, by conducting regular reviews and
optimizing treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to
ensure holistic and integrated care.

Community engagement.
- Participate in public health initiatives,
including vaccination programmes and health education campaigns.
- Engage with local communities to promote health
awareness and address health disparities.

Team collaboration.
- Work closely with GPs, nurses, healthcare
assistants, and other allied health professionals to deliver coordinated
and comprehensive care.
- Contribute to case discussions, clinical audits,
and quality improvement projects.

Documentation and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
using electronic health systems (e.g., EMIS or SystmOne).
- Ensure compliance with NHS policies, CQC
standards, and GDPR regulations.

Qualifications & experience.

HCPC registered paramedic with a valid practising certificate.

Advanced life support (ALS) certification.

Minimum of two years of experience as a practising paramedic, with
exposure to a variety of clinical settings.

environment is desirable.
