Key responsibilities
Clinical assessment and
intervention.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments,
including detailed evaluations of psychological, emotional, and social
factors.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans,
employing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support mental
health and well-being.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to
individuals in acute distress, ensuring safe and effective management of
complex situations.
Patient care and
support.
- Deliver therapeutic services, including
individual and group therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and
other relevant modalities.
- Work collaboratively with patients, families, and
carers to set and achieve recovery goals, ensuring a person-centred
approach to care.
Case management.
- Coordinate and manage care for individuals with
complex mental health needs, ensuring continuity and integration of
services.
- Facilitate referrals to other mental health
services and community resources, coordinating care transitions
effectively.
Collaborative practice.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams,
including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other
healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive mental health care.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences,
and strategic planning to enhance service delivery and address emerging
mental health trends.
Education and advocacy.
- Provide education and support to patients and
their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and
recovery strategies.
- Advocate for the needs of individuals with mental
health challenges, ensuring their voices are heard in care planning and
decision-making processes.
Compliance and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records,
ensuring compliance with NHS policies, care quality commission (CQC)
standards, and general data protection regulation (GDPR) requirements.
- Uphold ethical and legal standards in all aspects
of practice, ensuring the highest levels of confidentiality and
professionalism.

Qualifications and experience.
