Key responsibilities.

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients'
physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities to determine their needs
and goals.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment
plans designed to improve patients' daily living skills, functional
independence, and overall well-being.
- Utilise a variety of therapeutic techniques and
modalities to address diverse conditions, including musculoskeletal
disorders, neurological impairments, and mental health issues.
Patient-centred care.
- Provide expert guidance and support to patients
and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their
care and rehabilitation.
- Educate patients on adaptive techniques,
assistive devices, and environmental modifications to enhance their
independence and participation in everyday activities.
Multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Work closely with GPs, physiotherapists,
psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated
and holistic care.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and

Rehabilitation and recovery.
- Design and deliver rehabilitation programmes
tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on improving functional

Community engagement.
- Contribute to community health initiatives and
public health campaigns, promoting awareness of occupational therapy and

Compliance and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records,
ensuring compliance with NHS policies, care quality commission (CQC)
standards, and general data protection regulation (GDPR) requirements.

Person Specification.
Qualifications and experience.

Degree in occupational
therapy or equivalent qualification.

Registration with
the health and care professions council (HCPC) or relevant professional body.
- Significant post-registration experience in a clinical setting,
with a proven track record in delivering effective occupational therapy
interventions.
- Experience working in a variety of healthcare environments,
including primary care, community settings, and inpatient care.
