Key responsibilities
Clinical care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including

such as wound care, minor surgical interventions, and immunisations.
Patient management.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including diagnosing

- Work closely with GPs, nurses, and other
healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.

using electronic health record systems (e.g., EMIS or SystmOne).
- Ensure documentation meets NHS standards and
legal requirements.
Education and Advocacy
- Educate patients about their conditions,
treatment options, and health management strategies.
- Advocate for patient needs and coordinate care
transitions between primary and secondary care settings.
Quality improvement.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to
enhance clinical practice and patient care.
- Engage in regular review of clinical outcomes and
contribute to the development of best practices.
Compliance and governance.
- Adhere to NHS policies, care quality commission (CQC)
standards, and general data protection regulation (GDPR) requirements.
- Maintain professional standards and ensure

Person Specification.
Qualifications and experience.

Postgraduate diploma in physician associate studies or equivalent.

Current registration with the UK faculty of physician associates (FPA)
or equivalent professional body.

Proven experience in a clinical setting, ideally within a primary care
or GP practice environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage a broad range of medical conditions and
procedures.
