How will you benefit from visiting Best Practice Birmingham?

Best Practice Birmingham not only addresses the policies that underpin general practice and primary care in the UK but explores the future strategic development of the sector. Working closely with NHS England, we deliver educational content that is aligned with the DES contract that will steer your practice towards delivering in-demand, profitable services.

Best Practice Birmingham's clinical content programme not only covers key disease areas such as cardiovascular, gastroenterology, cancer, dermatology, and diabetes - we're shining a light on fresh topic areas such as learning disabilities, mental health, lifestyle medicine and much more. Working with a range of societies and organisations, we ensure our educational content is relevant to you the practitioner.

We have taken a Multi-Disciplinary Team approach to our conference programme, and so it is not just aimed at general practitioners. We provide free education for all roles in general practice, including nurses, practice managers, and the full range of ARRS roles - promoting free learning and development across your entire practice.

Our Business Services Hub and other content theatres, along with the exhibition that sit alongside them look at the practicalities of what is, in essence, the running of a small business. GP partners and practice managers benefit from a range of topics that will help you deliver greater efficiencies within your practice and improved patient outcomes.

About the conference

The Best Practice Birmingham conference focuses on the key issues in general practice and primary care. Tailored to meet CPD requirements, the programme follows the GP curriculum set by the Royal College of General Practitioners, allowing attendees to earn up to 12 CPD points.

In 2023, the theme was ACCESS, addressing how improving primary care access saves money and enhances clinical outcomes. Key strategies included:

  • Retaining more GPs and addressing burnout
  • Utilising new roles in general practice for appropriate patient care
  • Digital transformation
  • Working at scale through GP Federations

Our 12 dedicated content theatres offer over 180 hours of learning, covering both clinical and non-clinical topics for all roles in general practice.

The 2024 programme will be released in summer 2024. To stay updated, register for your free delegate pass below.
