Alison is a consultant pharmacist in cardiology working in Sussex. After qualifying Alison worked in secondary care for many years and more recently has combined this with working in primary care She is passionate about improving the prevention of cardiovascular disease and the care of people living with heart conditions. She has led on system wide quality improvement initiatives and as an independent prescriber manages, and supports others in the management of, patients across a wide range of cardiac conditions. She has published on topics in clinical pharmacy and cardiology. She has a national profile having worked with NICE, NHS Specialist Pharmacist Services, Primary Care Cardiovascular Society, British and Irish Hypertension Society and the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association.
