Hi, I'm Alistair a First Contact Diabetes Specialist Dietitian. I've been a dietitian for 6 years (specialising in diabetes 4 years ago) and I've worked for Primary Care Dietitians for about 1 year now and I've enjoyed spending this year building a first contact dietetic service within the the Caversham PCN from Emmer Green Surgery. It's been an exhilarating journey that has relied on my skills as an advanced diabetes clinician and a service leader in order to be successful. My masters training in the advanced management of diabetes gave me a great foundation in primary care priorities for diabetes management which has been the underlying ethos of my work in the PCN. I look forward to sharing some of what I've learned along the way in the growing world of primary care dietetics!
