Amber Henthorn

Programme Support Manager, Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT
Amber is a Programme Support Manager in the Personalised Care Team in Tameside. Amber has worked for Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust for 5 years in various project roles. She has undertaken the Level 4 Associate Project Management Apprenticeship and gone on to undertake a Level 6 Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship. Amber has also undertaken the Mary Seacole Leadership Course during her employment within the NHS. Amber has led on various projects including the implementation of Social Prescribing across the Hospital and the implementation of Elemental across several services across Tameside & Glossop. This has been key to joining up services and providing seamless, integrated care. Amber works system wide, working across acute, community, VCFSE and local authority settings. Amber was involved in the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP) Champions pilot and was included in the Evaluation of the NHS Social Prescribing Champions Programme 2022-2023. Ambers professional interests and passions include; • Building strong stakeholder relationships with partners and services across the system. • Understanding how teams work and what works for them, providing them with connections and training opportunities. • Helping to close the gaps between acute, community and VCFSE services. • Working on community-based projects. • Working to increase awareness and support around mental health for her community. • Making connections and minimising duplication. • Sharing the opportunities which Apprenticeships open and championing carers within the NHS as a Career Ambassador.
