Clinical Director, Crossgates Primary Care Network
Andrea qualified in Leeds in 2000 and is the Clinical Director for a Primary Care Network (PCN) in Leeds. She is responsible for the delivery of her PCN strategic plans. In addition to this role, she is the Managing Partner for Colton Mill and The Grange Medical Centre’s for 13,000 patients. She has previously held positions as Lead Primary Care Nurse in a CCG and more recently as Head of Nursing for Quality and Governance in Primary Care working across the CCG, GP Confederation and Leeds Community Health Care. She still maintains her clinical expertise in General Practice Nursing (GPN) and completed her BSc in Health and Social Care in 2010 when she became an Independent Nurse Prescriber. Andrea has a particular interest in Quality Improvement and as provided expertise for system wide changes whilst completing her Cert in Professional Leadership. She was part of a Nursing Senate in Leeds that visited Amsterdam to look at their healthcare system. She represents Primary Care and the General Practice Nursing voice at local and regional steering groups which include lead nurse forums, sepsis, respiratory, workforce and integrated care. In 2018, Andrea became a finalist in the GPN wards for innovation for policy development that reduced variations. More recently, she has contributed to developing the GPN Strategy Plan for Leeds and the delivery of a GPN Leadership programme.
