Dr Dominick Shaw is Professor and Honorary Consultant at the University of Leicester and University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust. Professor Shaw obtained his MB ChB from Liverpool, FRCP from the Royal College of Physicians London, and MD from the University of Leicester on the role of exhaled nitric oxide in managing asthma.
Professor Shaw’s main research interest is in severe asthma and has published some of the most highly cited papers in this field. Clinically he manages severe asthma and EGPA and is keen to understand more about asthma disease monitoring and management. Other interests include with rare cystic lung diseases and respiratory health care access for homeless people.
