Elaine has a background of working in acute settings as a children's nurse and Immunology nurse specialist prior to completing her Specialist community practice nursing (SCPHN) to work as a Health Visitor and community practice teacher in North East England. After many years of community practice, Elaine moved into academia, working across pre registration children's nursing alongside leading and developing SCPHN programmes. Elaine joined the NMC in 2022 as Nurse Education Advisor, supporting and influencing all aspects of post registration community practice alongside pre registration nursing and other NMC work.
