Estefania Costa ("Stef") is a Queen’s Nurse and Regional Primary Care Nursing Workforce Educator Lead within NHS England’s East of England Workforce, Training and Education (WTE) Directorate. With over 23 years of nursing experience, she has worked across primary and secondary care and held senior roles in clinical practice, leadership, management, and academia. Stef has led workforce, education, research, and digital transformation initiatives, including early neighbourhood care and electronic patient record (EPR) programmes in the early '00s. Her work spans workforce development, higher education, scientific peer review, and strategic decision-making, with contributions at national and international levels, including engagement with the European Commission. Passionate about developing sustainable, multidisciplinary workforce models, Stef is committed to progressing nursing leadership, education, and innovation across primary care. She also serves her local community as a College Governor.
