George is an experienced GP, healthcare leader and medical educator with experience leading at practice, PCN and Federation level. He has been the Executive GP Partner at The Swan Practice, a large rural practice in Buckinghamshire since 2017, and PCN Clinical Director of The Swan Network since 2021. He has been the Partner Member for Primary Medical Services on the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West (BOB) ICB since July 2023. As a First5 GP George was a Clinical Support Fellow with the RCGP where he worked to integrate the principles of Collaborative Care and Support Planning into the GP Curriculum. He has subsequently held roles in undergraduate and postgraduate education including as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Buckingham Medical School. He completed his MBA with The University of Buckingham Business School in 2022, gaining a distinction and winning a prize for his dissertation looking at underrepresentation of women in GP Partnerships. Since June 2022 George has been the Director of Bucks GP Provider Alliance (GPPA), the United Voice for General Practice in Buckinghamshire. Bucks GPPA brings together key leaders from General Practice, including the Federation, LMC and PCNs, to provide a consensus on the priorities and perspectives for General Practice across Place, offering a simple and welcoming interface for the ICB and other external partners. The GPPA works to enable the ‘art of the possible’ to deliver collaborative healthcare at various scales and locations through the coordination of independent GP Provider organisations.
