National Delivery Programme Manager for Return to Practice, Health Education England
I am currently responsible for delivering the Return to Practice programmes for Nursing and Midwifery and the HCPC professions across England since April 2019. My role is predominantly strategic and planning the development of future service delivery is a significant part of my role. We are always looking at innovative, modern and interesting ways of returning nurses, midwives and HCPC lapsed registrants back into practice. I have a deep understanding of the life of a clinical nurse, my own long and varied clinical career incorporated roles in an Emergency Trauma Centre. I have been an ED Sister and Matron, then progressing into corporate Lead Nurse roles until I took on the role of a Deputy Chief Nurse in a large Acute Hospital Trust responsible for 2,500 nurses. I have been able to utilise my experience to advise, help and support the journeys of our RTP Returners.
