Jim trained as a general nurse subsequently having clinical roles mainly within hepatology and liver transplantation. This led on to general management posts within secondary care before moving from a clinical setting to commissioning. Led a number of successful programmes including 18 weeks and transforming community services.
Director of the team that established and ran a social enterprise for community services in Kirklees. Established the Leeds GP Confederation being the CEO taking it from small foundations to a successful Primary Care led organisation for the city of Leeds. Also, the Chair of Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership.
