Julian graduated in Medicine from the University of Sheffield a very long time ago. He worked, as a GP principal in Stocksbridge, for almost 30 years before deciding to concentrate more on Dermatology. He worked at at Barnsley NHSFT since 1998 - splitting his time between the 2 week wait clinic and surgical lists before finally retiring from clinical practice at the end of 2024. He has been a member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society since 1998, joined the Executive Committee in 2004 and became Executive Chair in July 2024. He still lives in Sheffield despite the city having excellent transport links to all parts of the country.
