Julie Beer trained as a General Nurse, qualifying in 1996. Throughout her career she has worked in a variety of settings including care homes, private hospitals, community and general hospitals. Julie finally settled into primary care 16 years ago, up skilling from treatment room nurse to advanced nurse practioner. She introduced projects such as drive though flu clinics at scale, and children flu parties. Julie worked as Lead Nurse across two individual PCNs, building on her leadership skills before joining Leeds GP Confederation. The highlight of Julie’s career was gaining the Queens Nurse award in 2021.
