Dr Kathryn Brown is a GP and Clinical Director from Oxford. She was a GP partner for 5 years before becoming a PCN Clinical Director and Salaried GP. Over the last 18 months Kathryn has been a member of the Primary Care Covid Response 'silver cell', Oxfordshire System Leaders Board, Oxfordshire Covid Vaccine Delivery Board and part of the Vaccine Outreach and Inequalities working group as well as being the Clinical Lead for her PCN's Covid Vaccine Centre. She has chaired the Oxfordshire Clinical Directors committee for the last 2 years and continues to be part of their executive team representing the views of the PCN CDs in various forums. She is also a member of the NHS confederation PCN Network national reference group giving PCN perspectives on issues ranging from the the PCN DES to vaccination and NHS England policies. Kathryn is passionate about health inequalities and quality improvement and her PCN was recently a wave 2 site for the national population health management programme. She knows first hand the challenges of being a PCN clinical director and PCN development especially in the current climate and is keen to ensure that PCNs bring benefit to both patients and practices, and can contribute to a sustainable and high quality primary care service.
