Laura is a highly experienced pharmacist working in the Somerset system as the Community Pharmacy Clinical Lead. Laura has a broad experience of commissioning, developing, and delivering community pharmacy services, from small independently owned pharmacies to large multiple organisations. Laura has also worked within GP practices as a prescribing advisor and practice pharmacist to deliver medicines optimisation strategies and support medicines safety. Laura’s more recent experience is in the regulation of providers of health and social care. Working across systems gave her insight into how integration, relationships and shared goals can lead to positive outcomes for people using services. Laura is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion, and how community pharmacy can play a central role in improving people’s access, experience and outcomes from high quality community pharmacy services.
