Matthew is a highly motivated pharmacist working for NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board as Head of Pharmaceutical, Optical and Dental Services. Matthew has experience in the delivery, leadership, and governance of community pharmacy services across several community pharmacy settings, from smaller, rural providers to much larger, urban, retail pharmacy businesses. Matthew has further experience in the commissioning, contracting, developing, and optimising of community pharmacy services, from the perspective of both providing and commissioning organisations. Matthew’s most recent experience has been working across primary care to further the integration of community pharmacy and general practice, focussing particularly on service design, delivery, digital interoperability, and patient flow. Matthew is an ardent advocate for those with learning disabilities and autism and has championed the development of pathways to support patient and carer access and experience of pharmaceutical and primary medical services.
