Nicole is an experienced diabetes nurse working in general practice, where she manages complex Type 2 diabetes cases and contributes to the oversight and improvement of care for people with multiple long-term conditions (MLTC). She also serves as an educator and research associate at the Leicester Diabetes Centre, delivering evidence-based education through the EDEN programme and supporting innovative research initiatives such as the Early-Onset Type 2 Diabetes Clinic within the T2Day programme.
As a Diabetes Mentor for the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Integrated Care Board, Nicole has played a key role in implementing the Enhanced Diabetes Service model, supporting practices across the region to deliver integrated, patient-centred diabetes care. Her work focuses on reducing health inequalities and promoting coordinated care through projects like the 'one patient, one review' MLTC pilot. Nicole’s passion lies in advancing primary care diabetes services and delivering high-quality, equitable care.
