Nirusha Govender is an award winning strategic senior NHS leader with extensive experience in clinical pharmacy in community healthcare settings, public health, medicines governance, quality & safety, pharmacy workforce, education and integration. She is a compassionate, caring, professional with excellent leadership, organisation, communication and project management skills. Nirusha is currently the Associate Director for Pharmacy Workforce, Quality & Safety at NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board and a determined Quality Improvement (QI) enthusiast with proven skills and ability to develop strong integrated partnership working through collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple sectors. She has a proven track record in business management with experience and expertise of income generation and success at financial bidding. Nirusha also has a high level of personal commitment and passion to support disadvantaged communities, equality, diversity, cohesion and inclusion. She is passionate about the advancement of the pharmacy profession, addressing health inequalities and working towards equitable healthcare service access for all communities in the UK. Nirusha is also an RPS/NHS MIND programme mentor and STEM/Inspiring the Future Healthcare Ambassador.
