Pedro graduated in Cardiac-Respiratory Physiology in 2009 in Porto, Portugal, and moved to the UK in 2011. He began working as a Respiratory Physiologist in the NHS and later at UCLH, where he also became involved in clinical research—an experience that sparked his passion for advancing medical science.
He went on to build expertise in managing clinical trials, working in COPD and Asthma research, before serving as Director of Clinical Research at Queen Anne Street Medical Centre. In 2023, Pedro joined OPRI as Senior Clinical Trials Manager, supporting studies such as PREVAIL and MAGNIFY. In 2024, he was appointed Head of UK Projects at OPC UK, leading national research initiatives.
Originally from São Jorge Island in the Azores, he enjoys cooking and yoga.
