
Rebecca D'Cruz

Dr Rebecca D'Cruz is a respiratory medicine consultant specialising in weaning, rehabilitation and complex ventilation, and joined Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in 2022. She also sits on the organising committee for the European Respiratory Society respiratory failure and mechanical ventilation and COPD-UK conferences.
Her academic background includes a PhD in respiratory physiology (2021), an MBBS from University College London (2011), and a BSc in the History of Medicine (2008). She completed her specialist training in the North West London Deanery and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2014.
Dr. D'Cruz’s research focuses on respiratory physiology in COPD, hospital readmission prevention, and the use of home-based monitoring and ventilation therapies. Her work has earned multiple accolades, including the BTS Conference Award (2020, 2021), The Turner-Warwick Lectureship (2020), and fellowships from the NIHR. She regularly presents at international conferences and publishes in top respiratory journals.
