Robert provides commercial support to GP practices, PCNs and federations. He established his consultancy service after working as an in-house solicitor at Kent Community Health NHS Trust and within primary care providers. This work has included helping develop network agreements, incorporate PCNs, develop relationships between PCNs and federations, and supporting GPs in understanding the impact of PCNs on them and their business. This commercial focus is built upon experience developing services. In recent years Robert has been involved in developing vaccination services, home visiting teams, UTCs and a wide range of PCN led service models. He has a particular interest in developing new roles within primary care. As the Commercial Officer of a GP federation this has included first contact physiotherapy services and paramedics. As a Director of PATH it has included promoting Physician Associates roles within the sector including working with Health Education England and creating virtual services aimed at managing demand on practices. Robert also provides training to new partners within GP practices in conjunction with Ben Gowland and Tara Humphries. This has been a popular training program and is aimed at providing future partners the essential commercial and management skills needed to approach the role.
