Shannon started her career as a secondary care pharmacist with a specialty in neurology and older people, before leading an Integrated Medication Review Service in Care Homes. Shannon has a passion for learning and development and has written, developed and led the CPPE national extended primary care training pathways for pharmacy professionals. Shannon has recently taken the role of education lead for the Heart Failure Academy, an NHS England funded collaboration between Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Health Innovation Yorkshire and Humber and the three Yorkshire and Humber Integrated Care Boards.
