Dr Sonia Ashraf is a GP is a large Birmingham city practice, she is also a GP appraiser and the Medical Director for cancer for Birmingham and Solihull Integrated care board where she leads work to improve cancer pathways, work on early diagnosis as well as opening GP direct access to imaging. She is also the Deputy clinical director for the West Midlands Cancer Alliance where she has a particular interest in cancer pathway redesign, service improvement and reducing inequalities in cancer care. Through her roles across primary care and the cancer Alliance, she works with providers and commissioners across the region to improve cancer outcomes and deliver national cancer priorities.
