Dr Steve Holmes has been a general practice principal since 1989 and continues to provide clinical care to the Shepton Mallet population in Somerset. He is current Policy Lead for the PCRS and on their Executive Committee. Steve is chair of the IPCRG Education Committee and on the Education Committee of the BTS. Currently involved in BTS/SIGN Severe Asthma Guidelines, BTS COPD Biologics Guidance and Cough in Children and Young People he was on the RCGP council for 15 years and has been involved in his local faculty for more than 20 years, as well as helping as a clinical advisor regularly in college environments. He has been involved in more than 300 published papers and has spoken widely. He is a current involved in several national respiratory projects in NHS England. He enjoys keeping running when the opportunity arises and playing the piano and a variety of guitars badly.
