Dr. Ghafoor is an internationally respected researcher and speaker for his work in nephrology, cardiology and quality control. He works as a specialist in acute medicine and is an ex-GP managing partner and trainer. He found his passion in process optimisation and scaling solutions while working as a GP and began to offer these solutions to PCNs and ICBs which led to him having his very own team with "General Practice Specialists Ltd". He has made it possible to outsource problem areas in primary care ranging from staffing issues, workflow solutions, creating bespoke protocols for primary care as well as implementing AI to triage and automatically book patients into the clinical system to alleviate workload.
